Batchworth managed to shake out the cobwebs and rediscover their form this week end.
A tight 200m heat led to a similarly tight final - both races against Kingston and Henley - with Batchworth winning and a fired up Kingston taking second place in the final.

The 450m event found us up against the home side in both the heats and the final with both races following the main pattern of the day - close racing and very close finishes. Fortunately Batchworths dragon was flying just that little bit faster enabling us to score a maximum possible 96 points in the league this year (and, of course, gaining a little bit of revenge for Exeter!). Worcester were mere tenths behind and Amathus similarly close behind them.
Kingston too were still firing on all cylinders by the end of the day winning the minor final just ahead of Henley and the 3 River Serpents.

The weather held out and the race schedule ran pretty much perfectly - all in all, a fine day at the races.

Unofficial results/points can be found here and we have some photos here.
