The dry spell hanging around the Batchworth boat recently has finally been lifted and, at an event surprisingly devoid of the poor weather that has plagued the rest of the country, the Batchworth crew pulled out all the stops (and T grips) to win both the 200m and the 500m events at Nottingham

A puddle of fun, storm in a dockside, drowning dragons - whatever you call it, it was a wet day down at the docks. We have a report already although it was a little tricky to decipher the smudges on the soggy paper.

The first outing of the season for Batchworth and the first outing for the new red boat. Expectations were high but results were not quite as anybody could have predicted.

Great selection news as Batchworth fill nine slots in the senior and junior/under 18s GB trials over the week-end.

It's now official. Batchworth have won the first official/unofficial 200m league and with maximum points no less.

So, the old form returns at last and Batchworth win in convincing style at the Peterborough race. The 'A' team, the Beasties and Aspire all giving sterling performances in both the 200m and 500m events.

On a sunny but windy day in Exeter Batchworth recorded an improvement on the previous result at Nottingham but the race for the top is now wide open - 3 wins each and with just 3 races to go. The league title is there for the taking...
