It couldn't have been much better from a dragon boating point of view at the Victoria Docks last week-end. Batchworth won the inaugural 100m sprint races then went on to win the 500m event giving us an unassailable lead in the league.
The Batchworth Aspire crew were also out again and even managed to wangle themselves a load of medals too. ...and the rain stayed away right up until prize giving.

Batchworth edged just another step closer to the league title at Exeter over the week-end with their fourth win of the season also winning the 200m event on the way.

Batchworth regained their momentum in the league at Nottingham over the week-end. Despite missing out on a win in the 200m event, a 100% effort from the whole crew saw us win a very tight 500m final.
It was also the scene of a fine debut for new scratch crew "Breakspear/Batchworth Aspire" (or something like that!).

Batchworth came off second best at the week-end losing out to the Taniwhas by fractions of a second in both the 200m and the 500m events at Surrey Docks.

Fine weather and fine paddling from all and sundry brought an exciting conclusion to the days racing in Cardiff. Batchworth held on to their lead in the premier league, with a win in the 200m followed by tough team talking and a win in a hard fought 500m final.
